Better than driving to Oregon...

Seems the US Senate will be extending the "no sales tax" internet initiative. Nice.

US Senate blocks net tax
A new bill in the US Senate has proposed to make internet services permanently free from tax.
The Senate Commerce Committee agreed to permanently extend the current temporary ban on internet access taxes that expires on 1 November. [BBC]

Oh! If you're wondering about the title it's a Northern California thing. You see, Oregon has no sales tax so it's common for Nor Cal people to go shopping in Oregon. But I have to ask, what's with the whole "do not pump your own gas" thing?
