Red Cross Offers Babysitter Training
As a parent we don't just trust our child to anyone walking down the street. In fact, finding a good, knowledgeable babysitter isn't often the easiest thing to do. The American Red Cross making it easier though, with a new course for would-be babysitters.
The course teaches the babysitter how to stay in control while having fun, settling arguments, encouraging positive behavior, feeding and changing techniques, safety, and basic first aid a babysitter might need in the even of an emergency.
For more information you can contact your local chapter of the American Red Cross (there's a chapter finder here) or go online to http://www.redcross.org/services/hss/courses/babyindex.html
The course is designed for 11-15 year olds with special resource sheets available online in PDF format.
